Jennifer Rivlin's PledgePage

You may have heard me talk about training for a long-distance inline skate called "Athens to Atlanta." Along with the physical challenge, I took on another: raising 1500 dollars in memory of my father to go to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

My father, Irwin Michael Rivlin, died two weeks after my eighth birthday, at the age of 35. He died of leukemia, resulting from treatment he received several years earlier for Hodgkin's lymphoma. Cures and treatments for both these diseases are the focus of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. By skating with Team in Training, the fundraising branch of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the 1500 dollars will benefit research and treatment for the diseases that took my father’s life.

The 38 mile inline skate takes place on October 6th. I am asking for donations of $1 per mile – $38 – or $2 a mile -- $78 – or any amount you would like to donate to this cause.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is top rated in regards to its return to the cause; 76% of your donation goes directly towards research or patient benefits.

I greatly appreciate your support.

Most sincerely,
